Easy toilet paper space rocket made in 4 simple steps.
You will need
Toilet paper roll
Aluminum foil
Construction paper
Scissors
Tissue paper
Using the aluminum foil, wrap the toilet paper roll up, covering the outside of the roll. Once rolled, scrunch the extra foil in the ends of the roll to secure it.
Step 2
Using scissors and construction paper, cut out a circle about 7-8cm wide. From one side of the circle, cut a line that goes to the middle. Over lap one side that has been cut, over the other side, to make a cone shape. Stick together with tape. This will be the top of the space rocket. Using tape, stick this top part on to the to end of the toilet paper roll.
Step 3
Scrunch up red, yellow and orange tissue paper to make flames, that will come out of the bottom end of the rocket. To make it extra secure, put some glue inside the ‘rocket’ base.
Step 4
If you would like to, you can add a piece of string or cotton so it can be hung in the air.
Ready for take off. 5…4…3…2…1….blast off!!!
Variations
You can change this craft to suit what materials you have.
For example, if you want you can paint the toilet paper roll, instead of using aluminum foil.
Adding on stickers if you have them to decorate with is a nice variation too.
